Hiking From Karaoz to Gelidonya to Adrasan on the Lycian Way

This tail is one of the most difficult sections to hike on the Lycian Way, but one of the most satisfying. You’ll start from the village of Karaoz, with many hotels and restaurants right by the beach. You’ll then make your way up to the tourist destination, the Lighthouse of Gelidonya. This lighthouse was built on ancient remains.
If you wish, you can camp at the lighthouse. There is a platform there for flat ground. This destination is popular for hikers to stay the night.
You’ll then trek up into the forest. This track will take you through many ascents and descents. You will hike up to a high lookout where you can see beautiful views of the sea and mountains.
When you follow the path out of the mountains you will arrive at a campsite. You can choose to camp here or continue down a long road into the village of Adrasan.
From here you will descend onto the village of Adrasan, where there are many hotels, restaurants, and beaches.
There are no water sources available in this section.
Careful along this section of the Lycian Way, if you cannot make the entire ascent and descent (1,000m) in one day, you’ll need to bring your tent to camp.
